Tickets for the 50/50 raffle will be offered at the door by the greeters. Admission is free to those 16 and under. Contact me for an application and rules.
CARVING PROJECTS: Wilbert is looking into starting a club project of a scene carving, similar to the Full Moon Saloon. Members would carve a variety of pieces for the group project. It would be a news worthy project and an attraction at our shows. Each carver would place their piece or pieces in the display for the show. Let Wilbert know what you think about this project and if you would like to participate. More to follow on this project after the July meeting.
Please let me or a club officer know when you can lead a project. Wood burning, free form carving, chip, spoons,...have been suggested; what would you like to teach. If you are a new member and have a specific interest let us know, we will get you a mentor. Projects will start at the second meeting of the month. The following meeting (first of the next month) will be used to complete the project.

Dues are Due
Its time to pay your dues for 2005; $15. Contact the Membership Chairman, Charles Sapp, or Treasurer Bob Craven.
Welcome new members and re-joining current members.
Donna Garrison joined the club in June. Donna
has been doing wood crafts for some time and is interested in learning how to
carve. She has a real interest in chain saw carving. The is a dead
tree in her yard that she plans to carve into a bear.
Martha shows Donna our album of club members and some of their carvings.

NAME TAG: Making a name tag and
wearing it at the meetings has been a club rule for years.
And
a new enforcer is in town! Watch out for this man.
His name is Russ
Sears and if you don't have your name tag on at the meeting, he'll be collecting
twenty five cents from you. Name tags can be carved, burned,
sawed,.....whatever you like. But they must be made by you. Be sure
to wear yours proudly and keep the collector away. New members have a
short grace time before Russ comes looking for them. Thanks to Russ for
taking on this role for the club. The variety of name tags is always a
point of interest. Show yours proudly. I plan to feature some of the
name tags in upcoming newsletters.
When you have an item for show and tell, please get my attention before you leave (presuming that I remember to bring the camera).
