CARVING PROJECTS:
Wilbert is
leading a club
project of a scene carving. Characters will be done to build a Royal
Wedding. Wilbert got the idea from a book by Margaret Springer.
Rough outs will be made and club members can select their favorites to carve and
paint. Russ Sears has committed to making the castle background. More to
follow on this project.
If you are a new member and have a specific interest let us know, we will get you a mentor.

Henry, Karen father, has been carving for several years and recently moved back to the area. Henry has taken several classes from Stu Martin and enjoys carving in the round. Please welcome them to the club.

Doane 2005
What an experience! A week of carving with recognized instructors.
NAME TAG: Making a name tag and
wearing it at the meetings has been a club rule for years.
And a new enforcer is in town!
Watch out for this man. His n
ame
is Russ Sears and if you don't have your name tag on at the meeting, he'll be
collecting twenty five cents from you. New member, Donna Garrison,
finished her new name tag.
Web Site: The web site is going to be updated with new pictures and write ups for club members. Please send me electronic pictures of your work and a brief write up on yourself. I can also scan hard copies if you have printed pictures that you would like to use.
Belleville Show: The Belleville show is in November. See President Rich Weitzman if you would like to save a dollar by buying your ticket early.
When you have an item for show and tell, please get my attention before you leave (presuming that I remember to bring the camera).
