The Club was originally formed as the Show Me Carving Club in 1985. In 1987 it merged with another club and became the SCAWC. The Club has over 70 members of which 7 were charter members.

This diverse group of people has a wide variety of carving skills ranging from the novice to the professional. Carvings, woodworking, and woodburnings by club members may be seen by clicking on the Artist Showcase button.

Club dues are $15.00 per year and include a newsletter.

Business meetings and carving sessions are held on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m.  Meetings are held at the St. Peters, MO. Community and Arts Center located at 1035 Saint Peters Howell Road. Take the Exit #222 from 1-70 south on Mid Rivers Mall Drive to Saint Peters Howell Road (approximately 2 miles). Turn left on Saint Peters Howell Road to the Community and Arts Center (approximately one block).  Visitors are always welcome!

Activities include:
Carving instruction/demonstrations at the second club meeting of each month (check the Event link).
  A spring and fall weekend campout (check the Event link).
  Carving show (Wonders Of Wood - WOW) each September (open to the public).
  Instructional classes hosted by local and nationally known carvers (John Englert, Gerald Sears, check the Event link).

Club members also provide instructions at the St. Peters, MO. Community and Arts Center. Check with us for more information.
